Your two options
The signature is baked into Mailtrack’s free tier on purpose, so there is no hidden toggle that removes it while you stay free. Realistically you have two choices:
- Upgrade Mailtrack to a paid plan. The signature comes off, but you are now paying, and you are still limited to Gmail.
- Switch to a tracker that never adds a signature. Some tools, Vidi included, add nothing visible to your email on any plan.
Why the signature matters more than it looks
A read receipt is only useful if it is discreet. The whole value is that you know your email was read without making it awkward for the person who read it. A visible “Sent with” footer breaks that. It quietly signals to a client, a recruiter or a prospect that they are being monitored, which can change how they respond, or whether they respond at all — see is email tracking legal for where the recipient-privacy line actually sits.
The signature-free approach
Vidi adds no signature, no badge and no permission box, on every plan including the cheapest one. The recipient sees an ordinary email. You see the status as ticks: one grey tick when it sends, two green ticks the moment it is opened. To be fair, Mailtrack’s own paid plans get you the same signature-free result — so if you are already paying Mailtrack, this is not a reason to switch. The reason people move to Vidi instead of upgrading is what it costs and covers: $1.99/month launch pricing against Mailtrack’s paid tiers (~$99+/year), across Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Outlook.com rather than Gmail only. | Mailtrack free | Vidi |
|---|
| Signature on your emails | Yes | No |
| Recipient can tell you track | Yes | No |
| Works beyond Gmail | No | Yahoo and Outlook too |
Bottom line
You cannot remove the “Sent with Mailtrack” signature for free; you either pay Mailtrack or move to a tracker that never adds one — both routes get you to signature-free. What decides between them is price and coverage: Mailtrack’s paid tiers run well above $1.99/month and stay Gmail-only, while Vidi covers Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Outlook.com for less, with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
