About
Vidi is a small, focused product with one job: tell you the moment your email is read, without telling the person who read it. Here is who builds it, and the principles it holds to.
You send an email that matters (a proposal, a quote, a follow-up to a client) and then you wait, refreshing your inbox, wondering whether it was even opened. Native read receipts barely help: free Outlook.com and personal Gmail do not offer working ones, and where they exist the recipient is asked to confirm and usually declines. So you are left guessing.
Vidi removes the guessing. A single grey tick appears when your email sends, and two green ticks the moment it is opened, exactly like the ticks you already understand from WhatsApp. It works across Outlook.com, Yahoo Mail and Gmail from one extension.
Vidi is built by Daniel O'Loughlin. My background is in finance and data: a B.Comm in Economics and an MSc in Finance, the CAIA charter, and two years as an analyst at S&P Global.
Vidi is small enough that you reach the person who builds it. Email daniel@vidi.email with a question, a bug, or a feature you wish existed. If you want to see it work first, the interactive demo needs no signup.
Vidi turns every important email into a clear grey-tick / green-tick answer — across Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Outlook.
